About Saint Clair, MO

An early variant name was "Travelers Repose". Saint Clair was platted in 1859 when the railroad was extended to that point. The present name is after a railroad official with the surname St. Clair. The International Shoe Company Building and Panhorst Feed Store are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
