About Brooklyn, IN

Brooklyn was laid out in 1854, at about the time the railroad was extended to that point. The town probably took its name after Brooklyn, New York. A post office has been in operation at Brooklyn since 1856. The Franklin Landers-Black and Adams Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.
