About Stover, MO

A post office called Stover has been in operation since 1875. The community has the name of John Hubler Stover, a U.S. Representative from Missouri. Stover was laid out at its current site in 1905 when the railroad was extended to that point. As of the census of 2010, there were 1,094 people, 453 households, and 270 families living in the city.
