About Franklin, WV

Much of the town was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Franklin Historic District in 1986. Bank of Franklin (1925) Situated at the center of Franklin's commercial district, the Bank of Franklin building was constructed following the fire of 1924 to house one of Franklin's two banking institutions.
