About Trufant, MI

Colwell was an unincorporated community centered on a station of the Detroit, Lansing and Northern Raiilroad. It had a post office from 1879 until 1882. Coral is an unincorporated community in the township at 43°21′46″N 85°24′10″W  /  43.36278°N 85.40278°W  / 43.36278; -85.40278  ( Coral) . Coral began as a lumber camp organized by Rev. Charles Parker, who purchased land in sections 7 and 9 in 1861.
