About Lincoln,AR

Lincoln was originally called "Georgetown", and under that name a post office was established in 1884. The present name of Lincoln was adopted in 1885. The city of Lincoln was incorporated in 1907. On August 3, 1919, Black veteran Clinton Briggs was lynched as part of the Red Summer of 1919.
