Appendix Gelding for Sale in Stockton, CA

Prince is a 10 yr old, 16 hh Trail, Ranch, and All Around type gelding that we have owned since he was 3 yrs old. He has excellent feet and legs, is healthy, has no bad habits, and can go out with other horses or in a stall. He is used to being turned out exclusively and/or stalled at night and turned out during the day. Prince is a sweet gelding, no nonsense type, that is looking to please. He enjoys trails and going out “hunting” for cows and checking fence lines. He is easy to catch, has excellent ground manners, is great to shoe (has a current full set), loads and trailers great, stands tied quietly, and overall, is a joy to be around and work on. He is not a spooky horse, can be in the lead, or anywhere in a group on trails. He carries a flag, been through sensory training, has been in a parade, done crowd control for various events, and also rides out alone. In the arena, he picks up his leads, has smooth transitions, and a nice stop/back up. He is smooth gaited, moves off of leg pressure, haunch turns, forehand turns, open/close gates, and is quiet and willing. Prince has just completed a 30 day tune up/conditioning and is ready for his new home. He is a lovely gelding that all levels have ridden and would be ideal for an all around horse for someone. He does enjoy trails and outdoors over the arena and can be a bit on the lazier side in the arena with more beginner riders. He is safe, trustworthy, and stands for mounting/dismounting. He has been ridden English, Western, bareback, has jumped a bit, and has a Natural Horsemanship foundation. Prince is the “catch, saddle, and go” type gelding that is a trustworthy mount. If you are looking for a big solid gelding to go western or English - here’s your guy. Recent full vet check done with clean x- rays. Available to send. Delivery Available Nationwide

About Stockton, CA

When Europeans first visited the Stockton area, it was occupied by the Yatchicumne, a branch of the Northern Valley Yokuts Indians. They built their villages on low mounds to keep their homes above regular floods. A Yokuts village named Pasasimas was located on a mound between Edison and Harrison Streets on what is now the Stockton Channel in downtown Stockton. The Siskiyou Trail began in the northern San Joaquin Valley. It was a centuries-old Native American footpath that led through the Sacramento Valley over the Cascades and into present-day Oregon.
