Paint Gelding for Lease in Los Angeles, CA

This is Rex! He’s an 11 year old, 14.3hh APH. He’s more go than woah and would require someone that knows what they’re doing. He loves to work and knows his job. Rex is extremely sensitive. He’s definitely not a kick ride and much more of a sensitive yet forward horse. I would not recommend a beginner riding him because of his sensitivity and forwardness. He’s a total love bug on the ground and loves kisses and cuddles. He’s the “give me treats and I’ll be your best friend” kind of guy. Rex loves to jump all though he is slightly green over fences. He has the ability to jump up to 2’6 as of right now, I’m sure with more work he will have the ability to jump higher. Rex is the type of horse that feels your vibe. If you’re nervous or tense, he’ll speed up out of fear or nervousness. He’s a horse that loves to please but he needs the reassurance. We don’t want someone hanging on his mouth all day long without telling him he’s a good boy and praising him. Rex hasn’t been to any shows with us but his old owner said he acts the same in any arena he’s in wether it’s at home or at a show or just a different barn. He’s fine on trail and doesn’t spook or bolt. We want him onsite and won’t budge for off site. He’s $250 monthly. Let us know when you’d like to try him out! If you have anymore questions feel free to contact me!

About Los Angeles, CA

The Los Angeles coastal area was settled by the Tongva ( Gabrieleños) and Chumash tribes. A Gabrieleño settlement in the area was called iyáangẚ (written "Yang-na" by the Spanish), meaning " poison oak place". Maritime explorer Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo claimed the area of southern California for the Spanish Empire in 1542 while on an official military exploring expedition moving north along the Pacific coast from earlier colonizing bases of New Spain in Central and South America. Gaspar de Portolà and Franciscan missionary Juan Crespí, reached the present site of Los Angeles on August 2, 1769. In 1771, Franciscan friar Junípero Serra directed the building of the Mission San Gabriel Arcángel, the first mission in the area.
