Thoroughbred Gelding for Sale in Augusta, WV

5yo, very attractive TB gelding, 16.1hh. JC: Black Jack Don, “Jack”. Naturally quiet (but he is enough horse to not bore an eventer or jumper) with a super soft mouth that goes in happy mouth French link for everything, even outside of the ring! Suitable mount for a kid moving up from a pony. Jack has popped my (overly) confident but beginner 12yo son around w/t. Very in your pocket, steady eddy, safe type horse. Unflappable and kind about mistakes. Same ride every time and is wonderfully responsive to all aids. Has been started and competed in several different directions..finish your way in any ring or field! Has competed in the 2’6” hunters, 2’9”-3’ jumpers and BN CT, schooling 3’+ at home and BN and inviting Novice XC..plenty of scope for higher levels with miles and age. No fuss at shows..walks off the trailer and right to work, even with friends screaming for him in trailer (also doesn’t mind being left on trailer alone). Gallops out quietly in a field with perfect manners. Trail rides alone or in groups and LOVES it..goes on buckle no matter if going away or towards home. One of the best brains and attitudes that I have seen in a young horse, but PLEASE remember that he is still young and learning. Very junior/amateur friendly! Great investment horse. Lives out 24/7 with mares or/and geldings but stalls fine. PPE welcome. No vices and UTD.
