Canadian Mare for Lease in Burlington, VT
Future Diva, "Diva," is a 14 year-old chestnut mare located in Shelburne, VT. Great barn manners, a beautiful mover, and a pleasant ride.
She is fun, loving, and a hard worker with a big personality and years of show mileage in the hunter/jumper ring with top ribbons at WEF and Old Salem Farm AA shows. Unfortunately, she sustained an injury in 2017 limiting her jumping capabilities and is now looking to enter the dressage ring! She is looking for a confident rider to love and take care of her.
I am studying abroad in September and looking to lease her out for 3-6 months.
This is a FREE LEASE. NO lease price, just shoeing and board expenses per month are required - WITH the ability to work off monthly board if she stays at her current facility. Because of the maintenance of her injury, limited capabilities, and my short-term absence, I am not asking for additional payment.

About Burlington, VT
Two theories have been put forward regarding the origin of Burlington's name. The first is that it was named after Richard Boyle, 3rd Earl of Burlington, and the second is that the name honors the politically prominent and wealthy Burling family of New York. While no Burling family members are listed as grantees of the town, the family held large tracts of land in nearby towns, some of which were granted on the same day as Burlington. One of the New Hampshire grants, the land that was developed as Burlington was awarded by New Hampshire colonial governor Benning Wentworth on June 7, 1763, to Samuel Willis and 63 others. In the summer of 1775, settlers began clearing land and built two or three log huts, but the outbreak of the American Revolutionary War delayed permanent settlement until after its conclusion.
