Friesian Stallion for Sale in Rogersville, MO
“Loki” is a horse of a lifetime; I have had him since he was a little baby right off his mama. I also have his full brother, who is my go-to trail partner. I’m only offering Loki because he is simply too big for me, and life has taken me away from riding right now; he deserves a family to enjoy him instead of standing around my place looking gorgeous. He has a goofy personality, has always been one of the first to greet you, stays quiet in the stall or paddock, and has no vices or bad habits. He loves goldfish and will drink apple cider! He is gentle on the ground for catch/handle/tie/lead-lunge, with or without a line, for liberty work, but doesn’t require lunging to ride. You can leave him up and get him right out and get on him. He’s quiet hauling and loads/unloads easily. He tacks up well and is good for the vet and farrier. He’s been shod but is currently barefoot. He wears a #2 shoe. He is sound and healthy. He is an easy keeper and eats free-choice grass hay and 1 scoop of grain daily. He is not a speed horse; he is content to just amble along. He’s been ridden solo a lot and is very bold, not buddy sour at all. He will point other horses and was started driving when he was younger. He trail rides and will go where you point him; he’s been on wagon trains and horse trails all over NC and VA. He blankets well and wears an 84… he’s a big boy!
He is sired by a full Friesian, Michaelangelo P, and is out of a Standardbred mare. He single-foots, which is a smooth gait similar to a rack. He also trots and canters. He rides in a snaffle or a rope halter.
He just turned 5 years old. He stands 16.2h on the stick with the level. He is intact and has never bred a mare. My dream was to cross him with Standardbred mares and raise single footers.
He’s super gentle, and you would never tell he’s a stallion. If someone would rather he be gelded, I will include that in the sale at no additional price, including his aftercare, so you can take him home as a gelding if you prefer.
Loki has been a joy to own, and I know he will make his next family very happy.
