Kentucky Mountain Gelding for Sale in Princeton, WV
Chrome is a beautiful 15.2-hand Bay Roan Kentucky Mountain gelding who turns heads and steals hearts everywhere he goes. Chrome is a very versatile boy who enjoys doing many different things. If you’re familiar with Royal King, you can see that Chrome won this year’s Pet-O-Ween livestock division costume award at our store in Bluefield, WV. He has been submitted to the district, and we await our chance to win the grand champion title across all stores nationwide. Chrome spent the day meeting lots of new people and patiently accepted lots of love and attention, quickly becoming the star of the show. Chrome has been ridden in the mountains and is very sure-footed; he pays close attention and takes every step with ease. Water, ditches, and logs, he kindly takes you where you ask him. We have also ridden on the road; he is a good boy and pays no mind to the traffic. Chrome is easy to tack, and you can handle all of his feet with no problems. Chrome will gladly walk all day, or he will step up into his wonderful, smooth gait so you can enjoy a quicker ride. If you’re looking for a good-sized, beautiful gelding, athletic enough to go any direction you choose, with a good mind that takes whatever you throw at him like a champ, don’t miss Chrome! Watch his videos to learn more.

About Princeton, WV
In southern West Virginia, in the late 19th century, coal mining and transportation by the emerging technology of the railroads combined to form a new industry. Much of the region's bituminous coal was sent northwest to the Great Lakes, or northeast to the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad's coal piers at Baltimore, or to the world's greatest ice-free port of Hampton Roads in eastern Virginia. The Chesapeake and Ohio Railway's coal piers were located at Newport News. Across the harbor, the Norfolk and Western Railway's coal piers were located on the Elizabeth River in Norfolk. The eastern-bound coal transported by the C&O and the N&W railroads was highly valued for local use and for steam-powered ships, notably those of the U.S.
