all Around boy

"Cease Fire" or Ceasar, is a super loveable Standardbred gelding that came to Lucky 7 Horse Rescue directly off-the-track! He has been well-cared-for his whole life and is now transitioning into a riding career now that he is done racing! Ceasar retired from harness racing simply because he wasn't fast enough. There are lots of races for 2 and 3 yr olds, but once they are 4 or older, the races are much faster and some horses just aren't fast enough anymore. Ceasar took to riding the same as many other Standardbreds... as if he'd been doing it his whole life! He will walk, trot, pace, and canter under saddle! Unlike some Standardbreds that need signifigant strengthening to hold a canter, Ceasar is a natural! He could do just about anything! He is still young, and he's a healthy boy! Ceasar is a very forward horse under saddle, so he could be intimidating to a beginner or an unconfident rider. He absolutely loves to work, and is still coming to terms with the fact that his race career is over. He doesn't do anything dangerous, but he definitely has a motor to him (which also makes him a lot of fun!). Ceasar is available through Lucky 7 Horse Rescue in Isanti, MN. Lucky 7 offers a Standardbred Rehoming Program for owners to safely rehome their retiring racehorses in a way that acknowledges the value of their horses. Off-the-track Standardbreds come with a lot of excellent handling and care, and are extreme athletes. When they are working, they are all “business mode”. When their harness is off, however, they show their goofy personalities! Every Standardbred has their unique set of goofy quirks - some like to twirl their heads, others like to stick their tongues out, and even more like to wiggle their lips! Like most Standardbreds, Ceasar comes with these wonderful qualities: ✅Stands tied ✅Cross-ties ✅Trailers like a champ ✅Good for farrier ✅Stands for baths ✅UTD on everything Details Name Cease Fire Location Isanti, MN Breeds Standardbred Gender Gelding Age 6 Height 14.3 HH Color Bay Disciplines Dressage, English Pleasure, Hunter/Jumper, Eventing, Driving, Lessons/Therapy, Trail Riding, Prospect for Any Discipline Temperament 5 - Standard Basic Behavior Profile The Basic Behavior Profile is provided as a convenience and is not a warranty or guaranty of any particular results from any animal adopted through My Right Horse.
