Friesian Gelding for Sale in Bogard, MO

๐‹๐จ๐ฏ๐ž ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐˜๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐‹๐ข๐Ÿ๐ž That is exactly what Raffi will be from the moment you meet him. He is what truly matters โ€“ safe. He is also beautiful, has brains, talent, and personality. But above all, if you value a horse that will not intimidate you, and rather make you feel confident, a horse that will be a true partner, and not be reactive to new places and things, then Raffi is your perfect match. Raffi is a 4-year-old Friesian x Paint horse that stands a sturdy 16.2 hands. Heโ€™s a well-built gelding with the size, curves, hair, and presence that turns heads everywhere he goes. But what really matters is that he doesnโ€™t ride like a big horse. He has big, flashy-looking gaits that feel like youโ€™re sitting on your favorite old school horse. He truly is the best of both worlds. Have the flash, but feel the smooth-as-butter gait beneath you. He has the ability to do all of the things youโ€™ve always dreamt of, but doesnโ€™t feel like too much horse underneath you. He is soft, simple, and kind. A new horse can feel intimidating, especially if youโ€™ve been on the wrong one in the past, but Raffi has proven himself time and time again. In the arena, and in the most difficult and โ€œspookyโ€ situations, Raffi is ๐ฌ๐š๐Ÿ๐ž, ๐ซ๐ž๐ฅ๐ข๐š๐›๐ฅ๐ž, and ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ก๐ฒ every time. The biggest fear most riders carry is from a bad experience with a reactive or spooky horse. Raffi gives his rider a chance to relax and regain confidence. Gone will be the days of bracing for a spook that may or may not come or worrying about whatโ€™s around the next bend. Raffi is the quiet confidence that every rider deserves to feel. In the arena, Raffi will curbside (side pass over) to pick you up at the mounting block. He will also do this on a truck bed, a log, or even on the side of the pool so you can use him as a diving board (see his video for this!). He has the most comfortable gaits around, easy transitions, and picks up both leads easily. He has great brakes and will stop and stand around as long as you want him to. He is the perfect mix of whoa and go and is tolerant of riders of all levels. Raffi has a solid foundation in lateral work and will side-pass, shoulder-in, haunches-in, and leg-yield. Ride him in the bridle or on the buckle, English, western, or bareback. He will jump any fence on the cross-country field and is just so much fun. He is honest, brave, and so willing to do whatever is asked of him. On the trails, Raffi canโ€™t be beat. He has been riding along the train tracks with freight trains flying by, through deep water, on long trips checking cattle, and on leisurely Sunday strolls. You can take him anywhere and know youโ€™ll have a solid partner by your side. He will ride alone or in a group and just enjoys being out and seeing the sights. Heโ€™s easy to trailer and a pleasure to have on any trail ride. In the barn, Raffi is a family favorite. To know him is to love him. If you go out to the pasture, he will be the first to the gate, following you around like a puppy dog. The kids are always climbing all over him and up to some kind of shenanigans involving playing with, on, or around him. Nothing bothers him, and I think he genuinely enjoys being a part of the family. Raffi is a good boy for all the usual barn tasks and is a true pleasure to have in our barn. OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON 06/23 @ 6:10 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit.
