8-Year-Old QH Gelding | 15 Hands | Steady • Chill • Trail-Loving Companion
If you’ve been looking for that easygoing, unbothered gelding who’s always ready to hit the trail — meet Jesse. At 8 years old and standing 15 hands tall, this handsome Quarter Horse gelding is the definition of laid-back, reliable, and uncomplicated.
Jesse is the kind of gelding that thrives outside the arena. He lives for long, relaxing trail rides and has been exposed to it all — from rural landscapes to downtown hustle. He’s confident and calm around traffic, dogs, strollers, bikes, bridges, and water crossings. Wherever you point him, he goes — and he does it with a relaxed, more whoa than go attitude.
Under saddle, Jesse is simple, smooth, and steady. He’s got a great handle with a soft stop, easy transitions, and knows his leads. He’s been ridden both English and Western and has even been over cavalettis and crossrails a few times. He also knows his way around obstacles — carrying flags, walking over tarps, dragging logs, and maneuvering around cows like a seasoned pro.
What makes Jesse truly shine is his consistent temperament — he’s the same horse every time you pull him out of the pasture. No prep, no surprises, just saddle up and go. He’s easy to tack, hauls like a dream, stands tied all day, and is great for both the vet and farrier.
This is the kind of gelding that’s hard to find: pretty, dependable, low-maintenance, and with all the miles under his belt. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing trail companion, a safe mount for any level of rider, or just a solid all-around horse — Jesse checks the box.
📽️ Watch his video and come meet this cool, collected gelding in person. He’s as chill as they come — and ready for his next adventure."
About WICHITA FALLS, TX
The Choctaw Native Americans settled the area in the early 19th century from their native Mississippi area once Americans negotiated to relocate them after the Treaty of Dancing Rabbit Creek. American settlers arrived in the 1860s to form cattle ranches. The city was officially titled Wichita Falls on September 27, 1876. On that day, a sale of town lots was held at what is now the corner of Seventh and Ohio Streets – the birthplace of the city. The Fort Worth & Denver City Railway arrived in September 1882, the same year the city became the county seat of Wichita County.
