Meet Hugo. This boy is 4 years old and stands a solid 17.2hh. Hugo is every big horse lovers dream mount. He is a very classy looking boy with his great conformation and stunning steel grey coloring. Hugo is an Irish Sport Horse and he lives up to the standards of his breeding very well. He has a quiet but nice walk a smooth and flat kneed trot and a canter you will be hard pressed to find on a horse of his size. He moves thru all of the paces almost effortlessly and is a true pleasure to ride. He has great self carriage, is supple and light on his feet. Hugo is light in your hand and listens very well to seat and leg pressure. He knows all basic lateral movements. He has been started as a dressage horse and loves it! He has also been trail ridden all over from Michigan to Arkansas and in between. He’s been camping and pickets just fine. Hugo has no issue with woods cracking brush wild life traffic roads or a good hack in the field. He will ride out alone or in company. He has also been used for ranch work gathering cattle and he’s even been roped off of!! He’s got that go with the flow kind of attitude. We have recently started him over fences and this boy not only jumps in great form but loves doing it. We have taken it slow as he is big and still developing. He has the scope to be a 3ft+ hunter or equation or fox hunt mount. Hugo plays very well outside and adores other horses. He’s very nice to have in the barn as well. He has no vices. Hugo is a big love bug to be around. He is respectful of your space while being inquisitive and curious. He stands for mounting and dismounting as well. This boy is just 4 years old but has an old soul. He’s got the size the Athleticism the mind the looks and the personality. Check out the video you will see several riders on him and working with him in the video. Like I said above he’s a go with the flow kind of guy and one who most anyone can get along with! We think Hugo will be best suited as a hunter, equitation mount, event horse, fox hunter or just a big love to take out on the trails! It’s not often we come across horses like him!
