Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Los Gatos, CA

Jax is a 16 year old Quarter Horse. He stands at 15 hands and is the ultimate kids lesson horse. He is a very laid back guy and has very smooth gaits. His calm, easy going temperament makes him great around kids and dogs. This horse is as close as you get to bomb proof. He loves to be brushed and given treats by kids. He will also need surgery pending his adoption. Jax was diagnosed with a breathing issue that is similar to asthma. The surgery is estimated to be $1000, which we subtracted from his adoption fee. He is still rideable with his breathing issue but it's not fair on him especially in the summer heat and arena dust. So when we do (which is rare) it's usually at a walk, a little bit of trot. Before his breathing issue he was our primary lesson horse. He loads well and is currently barefoot. We have taken him to shows and he excels in western and english pleasure. He has also packed around green riders in their first competitions. With enough effort from the rider he will jump. He is sound w/t/c and always has been. Unfortunately we cannot afford his surgery and are looking to find someone who is willing to. Jax does have some aggression towards other horses so accommodating management is a must. Only serious inquiries. You must have some background with horses. We can tell the difference between true horsepeople. About Los Gatos, CA

The town's founding dates to the mid-1850s with the building of a flour-milling operation, Forbes Mill, by James Alexander Forbes along Los Gatos Creek. The mill's two-story stone storage annex has been preserved as a museum just off of Main Street. The settlement that was established in the 1860s was originally named for the mill, but the name was changed to Los Gatos after the Spanish land grant. The town was incorporated in 1887 and remained an important town for the logging industry in the Santa Cruz Mountains until the end of the 19th century. In the early 20th century, the town became a thriving agricultural town with apricots, grapes and prunes being grown in the area.
