Located in PortColborne ON Canada Large Hanoverian Gelding Beautiful 2008 Hanoverian for sale 17.2hh, sound and barefoot, currently schooling dressage. Gus was shown in the meter jumpers until 2019, when he switched careers to begin schooling dressage. He was not always that honest to fences but does seem to love to jump. He needs a confident and kind rider who is comfortable riding the odd spook. Gus does much better when he can see the fences in the ring before which is why he could make a beautiful hunter. Gus has a “puppy dog” personality and has no idea just how big he is. He has a kind nature, loves attention, is regularly ridden by amateurs at the farm, and handled easily on the ground, even by children. He is great for the farrier, has good manners, ships well, and is no maintenance. Gus has a heart of gold, but is not brave, and requires a rider who is comfortable working with him and enjoys the odd spook on the flat, and over fences. He is great on hacks - he will go anywhere if he can follow and likes busy environments, and busy show grounds. Gus is well schooled on the flat for all his dressage movements, has three beautiful gaits, is well balanced, and soft to ride has his changes. Registered with the American Hanoverian Society.
