Beginner Safe Kids Lesson Pony

14.2 hand, approximately 20 year old palomino gelding, 100% beginner safe and will walk and trot and jump, trail ride, etc. He does not like to canter, as he is out of shape and we don't use him very much due to continuing to try to get weight on him. He will canter in a larger space or straight line when asked, and is easier to canter on a straight line than in a circle. He is currently ridden 2-3 times a week. This guy is a TOTAL kick ride. He will walk trot very easily and consistently (slowly, great for kids/beginners) but is challenging to keep moving over jumps/ getting to canter for weaker/smaller riders. Don't let his age fool you, he's got a LOT of life left in him! He is so sweet and gentle and adorable, everyone who meets him falls in love! He is current on all shots and coggins as of about a month ago, has recently had his teeth and feet done. His teeth were in ROTTEN shape when we got him, and he was very thin, he has gained weight and is doing very well, has a clean bill of health from the vet. He has been ridden English and western, does great for being led around for little kids, and is extremely sweet and willing. He is absolutely the sweetest and precious pony ever!! We are only rehoming him because we need a larger horse and cannot keep them all. Easy to catch, tie, load, lead, bathe, everything. No vices. He is on senior grain and alfalfa, it does not make him "hot". Rides bitless, but does better with snaffle bit. Very much a kids horse!! We will be picky about where he goes. He will be a great addition to a lesson program, especially as a walk/trot horse. He can easily carry smaller adults with no problems whatsoever. He has one blue eye and one brown eye. He gets along with every horse in the pasture, he is low on the totem pole. We have done a LOT with him in our lesson program and he has been very sweet and willing to attempt everything. He has never spooked at anything or refused anything other than cantering in the time we've had him. We are a very busy lesson barn with a huge diverse group of riders, so he's been exposed to a lot!!
