Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Colville, WA

Diamond is a beautiful 5 year old mare. I have done quite a bit of ground work with her - she leads, picks up her feet, yields her hindquarters and forequarters, backs up, and flexes. She has worn a saddle a handful of times, had weight in the stirrups, and has done exceptionally. She has had someone sit on her bareback, bit she has never been ridden. Miss Diamond is a smart, beautiful young lady who has the potential to go in just about any direction. She could be registered, I just haven't seen the need so I did not get the papers when I bought her 4 years ago. I would love to keep her, as she has a special place in my heart, but I am planning on moving soon and cannot take her with me. Please contact me with any questions or for more pictures! Have a great day!

About Colville, WA

John Work, an agent for The Hudson's Bay Company, established Fort Colvile near the Kettle Falls fur trading site in 1825. It replaced the Spokane House and the Flathead Post as the main trading center on the Upper Columbia River. Americans also wanted to operate in this territory. In the first half of the 19th century, the Oregon boundary dispute (or Oregon question) arose as a result of competing British and American claims to the Pacific Northwest. It was settled by the Oregon Treaty of 1846, which set the new boundary between Canada and the United States at the 49th Parallel, to the north of Fort Colville.
