Thoroughbred Gelding for Sale in Ephrata, WA

Barn name is Dilly Dilly. We bought Dilly last April with hopes of him becoming a trail horse for my husband. He has come a long way in his training however he has too much energy for my novice riding husband. My daughter and I absolutely love riding this horse. He is a lot of fun for a experienced rider. He really try’s to please. He is a goof ball of a horse and is a big love bug. We have had him on a few trails this year. He will sometimes jig but with a understanding rider, he will settle and ride out on a loose rein. He probably would rather have a more exciting job. Possibly barrel racing or jumping. He is sound and has no restrictions. I’m not in a hurry to sell him. I’m open to trade for a lazy trail horse. Nothing older than 15. 15+ hands. He will remain in training until sold. I have his Jockey Club papers.

About Ephrata, WA

Ephrata was officially incorporated on June 21, 1909 and was given the county seat for the newly created Grant County. Historically, the settlement of Ephrata is quite recent. There was no known settlement until 1886, just three years before Washington gained statehood. The horse rancher Frank Beezley was the first to settle near the natural springs, thus the area was known as Beezley Springs. As the climate and topography were not promising to settlement, the entire region remained sparsely populated until several federal congressional actions, including the Northern Pacific Land Grant Act, the Homestead Act, and Desert Claims Act, encouraged the settlement of this semi-arid desert-like area.
