Quarter Pony Mare for Sale in Oroville, CA

Skips Hot Salsa Doll is a 14 yr old Registered, 13 hand, Red Dun Qtr Pony Mare by Skip Award (AQHA) out of Emeress (QTR PONY) . Salsa has been used for trail riding and as a brood mare. She is not for a young child. Possibly suitable for an experienced teen due to some rude ground manners. Currently at her side is a 3 month old very dark chestnut filly by a nice double registered arab pinto Rising Eagle. The filly, Nevaeh, will be registerable as 1 / 2 arab and will probably mature at or around 14 hands. Salsa would be a great addition to your breeding program or excellent as a trail companion and possibly even for show. An experienced horse person would be best but I have put beginners on her for trail with no problem. $1800 OBO Please include horse name in inq. 100+ horses available

About Oroville, CA

Oroville is situated at the base of the foothills on the banks of the Feather River where it flows out of the Sierra Nevada onto the flat floor of the Sacramento Valley. It was established as the home base of navigation on the Feather River to supply gold miners during the California Gold Rush. The town was originally named " Ophir City", but was later changed to Oroville when the first post office opened in 1854 ( oro is the Spanish word for "gold"). The City Of Oroville was incorporated on January 3, 1906. Gold was found at Bidwell Bar, one of the first gold mining sites in California, bringing thousands of prospectors to the Oroville area seeking riches.
