... more»ter is our go-to horse for newbie riders and very young riders because we know they are safe. He will cross bridges and water without question. He has been around fireworks and guns. He has been to field trials as well. We took him to the ocean, and even though it was his first trip, he still babysat a 3 yr old boy during Memorial weekend with all kinds of crazy things for a horse to encounter. Motorcycles, flags, Jeeps, dogs, kites, parasails, fireworks, screaming kids, you name it, he has seen it and was perfect. Critter has a wonderful gait but will also walk nice and calm alongside quarter horses without holding him back so you can enjoy your ride. Critter will ride out alone or in a group. He doesn’t care if he is in the lead or follows behind. He is pastured with mares and geldings and doesn’t cause any trouble. He also stalls well without cribbing or pacing. Critter has been hauled a lot and does great hauling. We don’t have to worry about him stressing. He will ride bareback in just a halter and lead. You can also leave critter out in the field for months at a time, saddle him up, and ride right off. He is the same great boy. Critter loves people and attention. If you are looking for a nice, gaited gelding with personality, looks, and brains, look no further. Horses like Critter don’t come up for sale very often. It is only due to an owner passing that he would ever be offered. Payment is to be made within the next business day after the closing of the auction. Transport can be arranged. With fuel so high, we are 3.50 a loaded mile. We might not be the cheapest option, but we only haul one horse, and he gets the best care until delivered.

About Seligman, MO

During French exploration, what was to become Seligman was in the heart of the Osage Nation. The French claimed it as part of the Illinois Country, selling it to the United States as part of the Louisiana Purchase. Osage claims were ceded by the Treaty of Fort Clark, which was ratified in 1810. Seligman originally developed from a small trading post that built up around or near the homestead of Andrew, George, John, Joshua and Jacob Roller from Scott County, Virginia, some of the first permanent European settlers to arrive in the area in the 1830s. At that time the region was a rough-hewn wilderness covered with large timber.
