18 yr old hackney pony // Registered with the American Show Pony Registry - Beautiful Silver Bay // 11.3 H // gelding - Extremely loving & sweet boy! - First to the gate! - Broke but needs a refresher… my kiddos ride him saddled & bareback with just a halter - Easy to catch - once he’s gained your trust - Low on the pecking order - Easy to pony on trail rides - Easy keeper … zero maintenance - Stands for vet & farrier - Isn’t a fan of fly spray, but is getting better with baths - His left eye is cloudy & is slightly dented inward - he can still see out of it. The vet thinks he was kicked & it wasn’t fixed properly. - His stifles stick sometimes - the vet has checked him twice. She said it doesn’t hurt him. He isn’t bothered by it. -

About Poplar Grove, IL
Poplar Grove was named in 1845 for a grove of poplar trees near the original town site. A post office called Poplar Grove has been in operation since 1848. On January 7, 2008, on an unusually warm day which saw temperatures reach the mid 60s °F, a tornado struck northern Illinois, including Poplar Grove and Candlewick Lake. The tornado severely damaged a favorite local attraction, Edward's Apple Orchard. There was one serious injury reported and the damage was widespread.
