Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in London, KY

OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY DOT COM. SALE ENDS ON 7/2 @6:30PM CT. More information available on the website including an UTD vet inspection, coggins, extended videos, images, and the owner's contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come visit. CP Smooth Sugar Daddy is a very stout-built 15.3hh, 7-year-old Golden Palomino Gelding. CP is a registered Quarter Horse with a nice pedigree that goes back to the legendary Hollywood Dun It! CP is a well-traveled horse that has seen the big country from the Flint Hills of Kansas to the rough Rocky Mountains, and he is a very versatile horse! I have worked him in the feedlots, roping and pulling out sick cows and calves. Iv took him out on the job and caught wild cattle with him, I’ve roped on the head side out of the box, and he trails the roping dummy very well… you name it, and CP can do it! He has worked on a ranch, herded and sorted cows, has been trail ridden in 7 states, and I’ve used him at the stockyards to pen cattle on a few occasions. He will cross creeks, ditches, logs and navigate rough rocky areas. CP is “cowy” and knows his way around them. He is safe riding in traffic safe. He has a smooth jog, a nice lope, will slide stop, turns a circle both ways, side passes, and backs with ease! CP is a confident horse on the trails and will lead the crew, head out alone or follow behind with no issues! He has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkeys or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere he is asked to. He has been ridden many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and all types of rough terrain while still being sure-footed. CP is not cinchy, cold-backed, and does not crib or weave. If you’re looking for a REAL ranch horse or a reliable trail horse… you have found your match! Feel free to call Dillon with any questions. He is located in London, KY.

About London, KY

Upon the establishment of Laurel County in 1825, a vote was held to provide for the new area's seat of government. The land offered by John and Jarvis Jackson was selected, along with their suggested name of London, honoring their English heritage. The town was founded the next year; its post office established in 1831; and its city rights granted in 1836. During the late 1930s and early 1940s, London served as a central collection agency for books donated to the Pack Horse Library Project. It also had a pack horse library which delivered books to rural residents in the mountains.
