Quarter Horse Gelding for Sale in Brooksville, KY

Family Friendly, Granny Safe… Gator is an 8-year-old, Bay Grade Quarter Gelding. This boy is family-approved. He stands at 14.2 hands. If you are looking for a nice, well broke gelding with tons of experience to use on the ranch, trails or arena then take a look at Gator. This boy is beautifully built with a big hip, good feet, and a pretty head and neck. Gator is extremely gentle and calm, has never offered to buck, rear, bite, or kick, and no matter what you ask him, he tries very hard to do it. He has a ton of heart and is good-minded and willing. Gator came off of a ranch, where he was used for all phases of ranch work, including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, dragging calves, and checking fence. After his time at the ranch, he moved on to being a 4-H ho

This boy will drag a colt like it’s his job, and gives them no mind, even if they’re on top of him. He has a good foundation and is nicely broke, with an excellent stop, a light mouth, and plenty of athletic ability. Gator neck reins works off leg pressure and has a great walk, lope, and canter. He is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He can be ridden out by himself or with other horses and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. Gator has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. This guy has been around all sorts of animals and pays them no mind. He has good ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to catch, load, haul, and shoe. He recently had Coggins, and shoes done and is ready to go. Gator is a one-of-a-kind quarter gelding that will make anyone lucky to have him
