Pony Mare for Sale in Pavo, GA

AVAILABLE ON THEHORSEBAY DOT COM Pretty and gentle 8 year old, 11 hand Chocolate mare pony. Fancy is a super classy cart and trail pony! Fancy is a pony the whole family can enjoy – let the kids ride her all day or enjoy a Sunday stroll in the cart. We purchased fancy two years ago and she has been through our rigorous training program and she is ready to find her forever home. She might even fit in the stocking or under the tree for a perfect Christmas present. Fancy has many miles of trail experience along with getting up the milk cows early in the mornings and taking the Amish children to school every day. She is ready to teach your young cowboy or cowgirl how to love and enjoy horses. Fancy is sweet and gentle! She stands quiet for saddling, harnessing, and takes the bridle gently. She stands still for mounting, dismounting, and can be ridden double. Fancy is a pro at pony parties, relay games, and festivals. She would even make a good barrel prospect and has some speed if you ask her to go. She enjoys letting the children paint her from head to toe, groom her, and trail ride all day long. She rides quietly in a group and will follow along with the other horses but doesn’t care if she’s in the front, back, or gets left behind. She has a fast trail walk, smooth trot, and can cover a lot of ground. She crosses logs, water, and ditches without hesitation. She can be ridden bareback and drag anything on her. She is good with dogs, cattle, 4 wheelers, and traffic. She will stand tied quietly for hours and is hobble broke. Fancy is easy to catch and gets along well with other horses. She stands quietly for the farrier, grooming, and bathing. She also loads and unloads in the trailer with no problem.

About Pavo, GA

The community was originally known as McDonald, named after one of two prominent families in the area. However, concerns were raised about misdirected mail, resulting from confusion between McDonald, in the southern part of the state, and McDonough located in the north. The community was then renamed after an early postmaster, Duncan D. Peacock, "Pavo" being the Latin word meaning "peacock". The city celebrates "Peacock Day" on the second Saturday each May.
