Morab Mare for Sale in Sheridan, MI
Ellie is a gorgeous, gentle Morab mare. She is great with kids and beginners, and absolutely loves people and being the center of attention. She is kind and loving. I have taught several young girls to ride with her and she has taken care of all of them, but she can also have tons of fun with an experienced rider also. Primarily she has been a trail horse and we have done a whole lot of camping together. She has also done mounted archery. She loves adventure and exploring, and is not afraid of water or obstacles and faces everything with courage. She needs someone with a softer hand who also knows how to be a quiet confident leader. Someone who is loud and domineering will not do well with her. She loads in straight loads with or without ramps as well as slant and stock trailers. She stands for the vet and farrier and has excellent feet so I have kept her barefoot. She has camped mostly on a picket line but has also used small pens. She is not terribly buddy sour but does like the companionship of other horses and is usually the bottom of the pecking order. She does not like to be in the front of the line going down the trail but will do it; she is better off in the middle or the back. About 10 years ago she lost the vision in her right eye, however this has not affected her ability or confidence and she is not spooky or shy on that side as long as she can hear you. She is not very mare-ish at all and since I have owned her (over 10 years) she has never kicked or bit or gotten nasty with me or any other person which is why I trust her completely with kids.
