Morgan Mare for Sale in Westfield, MA

Mira is a 15 hand Morgan cross mare. She is estimated to be 18-20 years old. She has been my local level show horse for the last 5 seasons (would have been 6 but 2020 was cancelled). She has been riding English primarily but can go western. She does not completely neck rein. She has jumped in the past but hasn’t in about a year so would need to be brought back into shape if that’s something you wanted to do with her. She has been trail ridden alone and with others. She is a more sensitive ride, prefers light bridle contact and quiet leg aids. She is very responsive and moves out nicely. She has been used for lead line in the past as well as in 4-h. I have used her in gymkhanas as well which she seemed to enjoy. She seems to prefer a consistent rider/few riders versus a lesson pr

I did have her on joint supplement for maintenance when she was in my care. She is currently on an off farm lease ending soon She would be coming with her tack and blankets as well as other miscellaneous items. For an off farm lease I do have a contract and would like to sign for a year minimum. Also open to a sale for the right situation. Please reach out with any questions

About Westfield, MA

The area was originally inhabited by the Pocomtuc tribe, and was called Woronoco (meaning "the winding land" ). Trading houses were built in 1639–40 by settlers from the Connecticut Colony. Massachusetts asserted jurisdiction, and prevailed after a boundary survey. In 1647, Massachusetts made Woronoco part of Springfield. Land was incrementally purchased from the Native Americans and granted by the Springfield town meeting to English settlers, beginning in 1658.
