Paint Mare for Sale in Fillmore, MO
this mare has a great personality and runs right up to you. she is very gentle and listens well. i ride her almost every day. i’ve worked through all the fundamentals and some intermediate of the downunder horsemanship method with her and she has turned out to be a really respectful and quiet horse. i’ve been working with sense this spring and she has done very well.
before i had her she had been road around cattle a while. she is 15hands. i do a ton of groundwork with her everyday and on the ground and in saddle before i take her on a trail ride. therefore, she is soft with the bridle and halter and bends and stops off little pressure.
i ride her through timber, feilds, pasture/hills, etc. i have done a lot of desensitizing with plastic bags and whips/ropes. she is very calm and quiet. i mess with her feet almost everyday too. she walks trots and canters good. she is not headshy. she has a nice soft feel and picks up on the rein very well. she is pretty smart and learns fast.
she has a nice slow pace in all gaits and stops fast and backs up good. she would be a good barrel horse or a good reining horse and she’s been ridden in trails a lot so she would also be a good trail horse. i usually use a hackamore to ride her and she does great with it. i am selling her because i work with horses and sell them.
