Kentucky Mtn Gelding

Consigned to Thehorsebay dot com Meet Comet, Comet is a 4 (coming 5 year old) beautiful bay roan Kentucky mountain horse gelding. He stands 14.3 hands tall and has some gorgeous unique markings. Body wise this boy is put together great and with age he’ll fill out and grow more. Don’t let his age scare you. This colt has been exposed to more things than most your seasoned trail horses been through. We’ve owned Comet for several months now and he’s been a joy to have around. He has a sweet personality, easy to handle, gets along with our other horses, and stands for the farrier. Comet is very easy going to ride as well. He will walk loose reined and calm every time when asked. He was broke the correct way, there’s no pulling your arms off or begging him. He’d walk all day long if that’s what you wanted him to do. Comet does have a nice smooth gait. No tricks to it just simple kick or smooch and he’ll step right into an enjoyable gait. We’ve ridden him out alone and in small groups, he rides the same either way. He’s very willing to please and go anywhere you ask of him. There’s not much this boy hasn’t seen or gone across. He’s traffic safe, been around dogs, ridden around livestock, crosses creeks, walks over logs, and eases through the rough areas. Comet is truly a nice young horse.
