Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Canton, NY
My kid's massive growth spurt means our loss is your gain. This sturdy built 13 yr old amazingly talented mare is looking for her new partner, hopefully someone who likes to have fun and try a little of everything. Is she your unicorn? Approx. 15.1 (measured last week) and solid! Not for a dead beginner ad she's very forward and has a bif movement, but very SAFE!! Has a great brain and she'll jump anything you put in front of her, currently going up to 3'6". Prefers light hands and good leg contact. Shows on and off property and is the same mare both places. She knows her job and goes out to do it. Is a little Ferrari in the jumper ring with her speed and agility, but can tone it down and pretty it up for hunters. Super brave and careful to a fence, hates to hit a rail. Has been dabbling in some basic dressage, and trail rides too. Needs a job with someone who loves jumping, feeding cookies, giving neck scratches, and taking selfies (She's a pretty girl and she knows it). Easy keeper. Bare foot with great feet. Up to date on vet and farrier, behaves well for both. Has seen the chiropractor and had no issues. Stands with no issues to body clip. Prefers turn out time and is great in a herd. Good home a must! Tons of pictures and videos on request. Email me for more info, pictures, videos.

About Canton, NY
Humans have been present in this region of New York since the Paleo-Indian period which is from about 15,000-7,000 BC. Iroquoian peoples arrived between 1,200 and 4,000 years ago, and both the Mohawk and the Oneida consider the Adirondacks to be part of their territory . When white settlers began to arrive, the area was part of the Mohawk Nation, which was part of the Iroquois Confederacy. The Mohawks are known as Kanienkehaka, or "the people of the flint," and they were considered the keepers of the Eastern door for this edge of Haudenosaunee territory . The first settler arrived in 1800.
