Missouri Fox Trotter Gelding for Sale in Salt Lake City, UT

Taking offers on THEHORSEBAY DOT COM Hi folks. I’d like to introduce you to one of the best family horses ever. This horse has been with us for 3 years. He’s seen and done it all. He has superior breeding. His conformation is impeccable. He has a keen head, a strong front end, and a nice round strong hip. His color stands out as a buttermilk buckskin with 3 white socks. Hard feet accustomed to rocky country. He is an easy keeper and keeps weight on even when in heavy use. He stands at about 15’1 ish. He has a nice thick, muscular build. His tail and main are thick with a nice wave. This horse has been family raised. He has been exposed to kids, grandmas, dogs, wildlife, and everything else in the city and country life. On out trail rides, he’s been exposed to motorbikes, hikers, peddle bikes, and backpackers. We have taken him on field trials; he’s been exposed to gunshot and dogs. Dogs can run under and through his legs. He holds a saddle well and bits up nice. He makes green riders confident and experienced riders smile. We have trail ridden in extreme conditions with snow, mud, elevation climbs, rivers, and ridden desert, sand, beaches, and pavement. He climbs mountains as smoothly as he walks on the flats. He has camped for weeks and will Highline and hobble. He will jump in and out of a trailer with no fuss. He is forgiving with rider errors. This horse was broke by a quiet horse girl. He has been handled very gently and exposed to everything naturally. He has been had his teeth floated and is up to date on his shots. This horse loves companionship. He loves people. If your looking for a fun gorgeous horse this may be the one. This horse Gaits with no gimmicks or tricks. It’s so natural. He can go from a dog slow walk to a glassy smooth foxtrot. He will lope but I have discouraged my kids from doing so. I love his 4 beat gait and have worked years to refine it. He is content at whatever speed you want. He is not pushy and responds well to his rider’s desires. He will ride front middle or back. He is in the middle of the pecking order. Gets along with his pasture pals. He is easy to catch anywhere and stands quiet to tack up or just brush. No health issues. Thank you for taking a look. He’s in great condition and ready to go to work or play.

About Salt Lake City, UT

Before settlement by members of the LDS Church, the Shoshone, Ute, and Paiute had dwelt in the Salt Lake Valley for thousands of years. At the time of Salt Lake City's founding, the valley was within the territory of the Northwestern Shoshone; however, occupation was seasonal, near streams emptying from canyons into the Salt Lake Valley. One local Shoshone tribe, the Western Goshute tribe, referred to the Great Salt Lake as Pi'a-pa, meaning "big water", or Ti'tsa-pa, meaning "bad water". The land was treated by the United States as public domain; no aboriginal title by the Northwestern Shoshone was ever recognized by the United States or extinguished by treaty with the United States. The first American explorer in the Salt Lake area was probably Jim Bridger in 1825, although others had been in Utah earlier, some as far north as the nearby Utah Valley (the 1776 Dominguez-Escalante expedition were undoubtedly aware of Salt Lake Valley's existence).
