Haflinger Gelding for Sale in Roosevelt, UT

Cogburn is Lot #38 in the Premier Horse Sale in Fort Worth Texas. He will sell on December 5, 2020. https://www.premierhorsesales.com/cogburn/ We will not sell him prior to the sale. Cogburn is an 8 year old halflinger. He stands at the right size for any cowboy or cowgirl at 13.2 HH. He is as pretty as a picture! He is the right size; small enough that he is easily mounted, and plenty of bone, foot and structure to easily pack adults. We have also taught Cogburn to lay down, in case that’s more your style. He has been extensively used by our three wild boys. They will shoot off of him, use him as a monkey gym, and ride him from sun up to sun down. Cogburn is the horse we grab when we have extra riders or family members over. We know he will do the job taking care of them. Cogburn stands like a champ to saddle and get on. He can easily be rode with a saddle, or bareback with a halter and lead rope. We have used him on the mountain packing, trail riding and hunting. His convenient size makes him a perfect pack horse. He will cross water and downed fall timber. Our kids have roped off of him and pushed cows. He has more whoa then go! Cogburn is a handy size horse with a big heart! Give us a call to come check out this one of a kind half-linger. 801-391-7940 Cogburns sale video https://youtu.be/Ad9eGj5jBaw

About Roosevelt, UT

In 1905, by an act of Congress, the unallotted land of the Ute Indian Reservation was opened to homesteading. Several thousand hopeful 20th-century pioneers congregated in Provo and Grand Junction with the hope of successfully drawing lots for a homestead in a fertile region of the soon-to-be-opened lands. Throughout the fall and winter of 1905-06, the settlers came to the Uinta Basin. The town of Roosevelt was founded in early 1906 when Ed Harmston turned his homestead claim into a townsite and laid out plots. His wife named the prospective town in honor of the president of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt.
