Rocky Mountain Gelding for Sale in Payson, UT

Taking offers on THEHORSEBAY Thunder is the all-around dream Rocky Mountain! Thunder is 3, coming 4-year-old spring 2021. He is 15 hands, chocolate flax mane & tail registered Rocky Mountain gelding. Very cute boy with some flash. He’s worked on a cattle ranch in Texas, trail riding in Kentucky, mountain climbing, roping & working cows in Utah. He’s not just calm and gentle at home, he is calm and gentle wherever you take him! Thunder is the most personable horse I’ve ever been around. Comes running to you in the field, and will hang out with you all day. He loves attention and loves his humans! He adores kids and is calm and quiet in all situations. He loads, stands tied quietly, isn’t herd sour at all, takes meds (shots/wormer), hauls great on long trips, shoes great. Opens gates. Sound in every way! He has a flashy but smooth gait, he canters smoothly. Moves off leg pressure, soft mouth, backs, and whoa’s as soon as you ask. You can climb all over him & under him. You can climb on his back in the field and he’ll just walk around and eat. Absolutely NO buck, rear, or bad attitude. Thunder is a trail riders dream. He doesn’t mind riding alone or in a large group. He will pony colts. He doesn’t mind being behind the group or cut off on his own. Very sure-footed goes slow in rocky or steep trails and watches his steps. Ground ties. Stands to mount with or without a mounting block. Not spooky at all, he’s been around turkey, deer, cows, quail & elk. He rides English, western, or bareback. Extremely smart! You can drop the reins all-day trail riding and he won’t rush or go off-trail. He will open gates, leads, or follows. He rides in a halter and lead rope, & has a smooth canter that he will step in for you with no problem. We have started roping off Thunder and he is amazing at it! He will pull, drag, and hold calves in the roping pens. He’s also done some ranch sorting. He stays calm in all situations. He has never gotten excited about any new situation. You can rope anything on thunder and drag it or pull it up to you. Please enjoy all the videos posted to see all the awesome things thunder does and how amazing he truly is! Thunder picks up new tricks in a short amount of time and really enjoys learning new things. Thunder has a personality second to none! Everyone that has ever met him has fallen in love! You have to meet this sweet boy! This handsome guy is only 3 and already this many buttons! There is NO limit to what this horse can accomplish! He is just now starting his life & is going to make someone one of the coolest horses around. You can train a lot but you can’t train a horse to have a personality like thunder. Thunder is in Spanish Fork Utah but has a possible ride back east around the first of Nov. Other shipping arrangements can be made. Please contact me about the arrangements.
