Friesian Mare for Sale in Rome, GA

Magic is a stunning registered Friesian sport horse mare. Her registered name is Romeo’s First KISS. She is 50% Friesian and 50% Quarter Horse. She stands 16.1 hands tall and has a very nice, stocky build to her. Magic is 15 years old. She is solid black, but the sun has faded her color from being in the pasture this summer. In the winter she is jet black. She is gorgeous either way! Magic has a thick beautiful tail to die for! Her mane wasn’t taken great care of, but is growing back in nicely. Magic is current on deworming and has a negative coggins test. Magic has a sweet demeanor and loves attention! She especially enjoys petting, scratches and her treats! Magic is very easy to catch in the pasture and is the first to greet you at the fence! She is dominant in a herd. She is definitely the boss here!! Magic has good ground manners. She stands still for grooming, bathing, fly spray, tacking and mounting. Magic will pick up all four legs and is good for her farrier appointments. Magic had an abscess that blew and caused a crack on one of her front hooves. With regular trimming they should all be healthy! It affected her soundness at first, but is doing much better now. Magic is broke to ride. She is gentle and calm, but we would recommend an intermediate rider due to her size and big strides. She can be ridden western or english. Magic is a kick type ride and can be on the lazier side at times. She will walk, trot and canter. Really have to push for the canter but it is very smooth once she’s in it! With regular exercise I’m sure she will have more go, but for now she’s definitely more whoa! Happy to just walk all day. Magic will ride off alone or in a group for trail riding! She is not spooky. Magic has never offered to buck, rear or bolt under saddle. Magic can be very difficult to load onto small horse trailers, especially two horse straight loads. She does best with a big open stock trailer or a roomy slant load. Magic would be a beautiful addition to a breeding program, as a lesson horse, trail horse, for therapeutic riding or as a family horse! We are asking $5500 for Magic to a wonderful home. To meet this gorgeous mare please call, text or email to set up an appointment. Video and additional photos available by request. Transportation is available at an additional charge if needed. Tack is also available for sale.

About Rome, GA

People of the Mississippian culture are known to have inhabited the area from about 1000 CE. These people are believed to have died off from disease brought by exposure to the Spaniards in the late 16th century. The Cherokee migrated into the Southeast and established themselves in the early 17th century. Specifics before the Spanish expeditions in the 16th century are largely unknown, but archeologists have found evidence of thousands of years of indigenous cultures along these rivers. There is some debate over whether Hernando de Soto was the first Spanish conquistador to encounter Native Americans in the area now known as Rome, but it is usually agreed that he passed through the region with his expedition in 1540.
