Spotted Saddle Gelding for Sale in Bend, OR

Gus has a ton of personality, sweet disposition and great attitude. Along with his good looks he has a very smooth gait and is easy to ride. Gus has been a trail horse his whole life and it shows. Not super forward but moved out when asked. He is amazing on the trail, even in rough rocky terrain he is very sure footed. Walks over logs, water, bridges with ease. Fine with bikers, hikers and dogs. Gus is easy to catch, shoe, loads and hauls great too. Gus gets along great with other horses and is not aggressive at all. He is sound, with no health issues or vices.

About Bend, OR

The name Bend was derived from "Farewell Bend", the designation used by early pioneers to refer to the location along the Deschutes River where the town was eventually platted, one of the few fordable points along the river. Until the winter of 1824, the Bend area was known only to Native Americans who hunted and fished there. That year, members of a fur-trapping party led by Peter Skene Ogden visited the area. John C. Frémont, John Strong Newberry, and other Army survey parties came next.
