Pony Mare for Sale in Boerne, TX
When Jigsaw arrived at Bluebonnet, she had had very little handling. She was very hard to catch and barely halter broke. Fortunately, she was enrolled in the Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge. She worked with an adult handler for the 2018 Bluebonnet Rescue Horse Training Challenge and learned to lead, navigate trail obstacles in handle, and carry a saddle. She was still, however, very leery of people and new things so she went back into the Training Challenge for Fall 2019. This time, her handler is a young girl and Jigsaw has responded well to her! She’s easier to catch, lead, and handle. She’s calmer on in hand trail obstacles, and she’s even had a rider sit on her back a few times. She loves to jump! Jigsaw is a fast learner. About Boerne, TX
Boerne came into being as an offshoot of the Texas Hill Country Free Thinker Latin Settlements, resulting from the Revolutions of 1848 in the German states. Those who came were Forty-Eighters, intellectual liberal abolitionists who enjoyed conversing in Latin and who believed in utopian ideals that guaranteed basic human rights to all. They reveled in passionate conversations about science, philosophy, literature, and music. The Free Thinkers first settled Castell, Bettina, Leningen, and Schoenburg in Llano County. These experimental communities were supported by the Adelsverein for one year.
