Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Victorville, CA

Sex: Mare Age: Between 10 and 14 years old. Registered: No Color: Red Dun Height in hands: 14.2 -14.3. Do not let her height bother you. She is a big girl. She is currently barefoot Things this mare can do. She does trails. She rides English or Western. She does barrels. She does pole bending. She does figure eights. She can do key hole. She be perfect for non advanced dressage. Advanced dressage with training. She walks over tarps. You can put a tarp on her. You can fly spray her. You can put a fly mask on her. You can lead her by a fly mask. You can lead her with just a lead rope around her neck. She will stand tied for hours. She stands quietly to be tacked up. You can tack her up on the left or right side. She round pens. You can lunge her on a line without being in an arena or roundpen. She bathes. She picks up her front feet perfectly. A tad iffy about her back feet. I have been working on her with this and she has improved. She takes the bridle now with very little issue where before she had sort of an issue. Where she would lock her jaw and put her head up. She has never bolted, reared, or bucked in the entire time I have had her. She is good with traffic even with a vehicle behind her. She is good with kids. I would say no one under the age of 8 on her unless they have been riding for a while. She has had kids ride her on barrels. The youngest I believe was 11 or 12. She did perfectly fine. She is not a spooky horse. When she has spooked she hugs the ground then continues on. She would be perfect for almost anyone with more ride time. She does not care if she is trailered somewhere and taken out then tacked up and ridden. Change does not bother this horse. She loves to work and have something to do. She has had extensive ground work that keeps improving. I am going over ground exercises with her two to three times a week. This mare still needs training. She is not finished for just anyone to hop on and go. You have to know what you are doing. She can get pushy on the ground. She does try to get away with things under saddle. Things she does not do. She does not neck rein, but starting to get the hang of it. With more time invested she should be picking this up almost effortlessly. I am riding her two to three times a week. She is not trained for the back cinch. I have not bothered to train her for this. I might possibly start. She is not personable. Very personable when she is in heat. Things I do not know about this mare. I do not know if she will go out on trail alone. I have not done this with her with me on her back. I have taken her off the property for walks and she walks calmly and quietly. I bought this mare out of Fallen Nevada. I bought her along with her foal. When I got the mare I was told she had been to a trainer and was trained for riding. I had high Hope's to take this mare far because I know she can do anything and excell at it if just given the time. I do have a video of her being ridden. I do have videos of her lunging. They are on YouTube. I can send you the links or you can copy and paste them into your browser from this ad. (I will be working on getting more videos. A lot of my videos were on another phone I no longer have). https://youtu.be/b3VL14ysTLQ https://youtu.be/PDQ8xwWFxmc https://youtu.be/G5EROT4CCPQ https://youtu.be/Zdp-6-3o6PY

About Victorville, CA

In 1858, Aaron G. Lane came to what is now known as Victorville and founded a way station called "Lane's Crossing." For many years it provided shelter and supplies for people making the journey across the desert from the east to San Bernardino. Lane's Crossing was on the Mojave River on today's Turner Road, two miles north from where Interstate 15 crosses the river. Captain Lane was a veteran of the Mexican–American War who had suffered from malaria during that war. Originally he migrated west to join the California gold rush, but he learned that he could make a better living selling supplies to the miners.
