Paint Mare for Sale in Oak View, CA
Sophie is a flashy and exceptionally good natured APHA 12 year old 15.3 hand Red dun overo mare. We rarely buy mares unless they are special and this one sure is! Gentle for the whole family and very well trained. Sophie has a good one hand neck rein, collects up nice, has a slow jog and will lope out on cue. She stops, backs and side passes with ease as well. She has been used on the ranch and out on the trails. She does all the trail obstacles and would be great for trail trials. She can be rode English or western and has jumped the smaller cross rails. This horse is outstanding to ride out anywhere from our busy neighborhood streets to the rugged mountain trails. She goes anywhere we point her with no fuss. She is good to ride in large groups or out alone. Crosses water, downed trees, l
... more >ogs, fences ect. She runs with the geldings and is not mare-ish at all. She does not mind being tail gated and is always respectful of the other horses. If you did not look you would never think she was a mare. If you are looking for a trail horse, family horse, 4h or just a good looking nice mare you have just found her. 100 % safe sane and sound.805-649-9398
About Oak View, CA
The town of Oak View was established as a 'bedroom community' during the late 1940s and early 1950s, primarily home to local oil industry workers who found work in nearby Ventura. Besides nearby downtown Ojai, Oak View is the only other town in the Ojai Valley with a discernible "downtown", which has developed along the Ventura Avenue/Highway 33 corridor. Oak View's 'downtown' has a number of businesses and services that have withstood the test of time and economic conditions. Among them, you'll find a post office, a grocery store, a grocery mart, one bank, a Thai restaurant, a coffee house/restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, a pizza parlor, two automobile repair shops, two tire shops, two self-serve gasoline stations, two coffee shops, an equipment rental yard, several hair stylists, a pet supplies store, a liquor store, a walk-in medical office, a car wash, and a laundromat. At various times over the years, some locals have considered incorporating as a city, as an alternative to County of Ventura governance.
