Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Decatur, IN
APHA Registered Paint Quarter Horse Mare for lease or sale. Price can be negotiated. 21 years old. Would make a great first horse for a young/beginning rider, or 4-H horse. Was used in 4-H for 5 years prior. Koko is mostly ridden western (contesting and western equitation classes) but has showed in English events, excluding jumping. She is patient, quiet and great with kids. Koko is slow-moving and will do anything asked of her. She is the perfect babysitter for children and beginners. Does great on trails, isn't buddy sour, and loads perfectly. Stands quietly for the vet, farrier and dentist as well. Looking for someone to ride her and give her affection because owner is leaving for college. She's an easy keeper and a joy to ride. She is smooth and listens very well to what her rider wants. $255 a month for onsite lease or $1000 to buy.

About Decatur, IN
The first non-Native American settlers arrived in what is now Decatur in 1835. They arrived as a result of the end of the Black Hawk War as well as the completion of the Erie Canal. They consisted entirely of settlers from New England. These were " Yankee" settlers, that is to say they were descended from the English Puritans who settled New England in the colonial era. They were primarily members of the Congregational Church though due to the Second Great Awakening many of them had converted to Methodism and some had become Baptists before coming to what is now Decatur.
