Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Ridgway, CO

** $6500 O.B.O ** Sundance is a 12 year old registered AQHA mare. She's athletic as I'll get out, and loves speed events. She's fast, and has never let me down when I have a friendly race against another person. Sundance is a big lover, and is kid friendly. The only CWBRA I entered, she placed 1st in 1D novice. She has been competing in local gymkhanas the last several years, and places 1st and 2nd in every event. This mare will do literally everything, and do it well. She's worked cows before, gone on cattle drives, run flags in the rodeo, showed in western pleasure, barrel raced, has been trained in hunter/jumper, etc. She loads into a trailer like a dream, stands for the farrier, is the easiest horse to worm and vaccinate, and is easy to bathe. She will come with tack. If you have any q

About Ridgway, CO

Ridgway began as a railroad town, serving the nearby mining towns of Telluride and Ouray. The town site is at the northern terminus of the Rio Grande Southern Railroad where it meets with Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad running between Montrose and Ouray. Ridgway was located about 3 miles (4.8 km) south of the existing town of Dallas. Articles of incorporation were filed on May 22, 1890 and granted on March 4, 1891. This "Gateway to the San Juans" position was recognized over 100 years ago when the Rio Grande Southern established Ridgway as a railhead center servicing the nearby mining towns of Ouray and Telluride.
