Amazing Standy

16.3hh Standardbred (not officially measured) Richard (dick) is for sale no fault of his own. He is a 4 year young SB. He is a very sensible horse to ride. He can be forward moving at times so will need an experienced rider. Mainly if he has been out of work for a while but he is still very easy to handle if you know what you are doing. He has a lovely Strong canter and a nice trot, will pace if unbalanced or when he first starts to go into a canter or slowing down after a canter slowly starting to get out of it but being young he can definably be trained to stop. Dick is always well behaved and has never put a hoof wrong. He has never buck a rider off never reared, bitten, bolted, pigrooted or even tried to kick He isn’t one to lean on fencing, and isn’t a wind sucker. I have taken him out on the Rd and he was fine. Because he is still a young horse he does need more educating, he isn’t a horse you can go jumping on unless you put the time into it, I have tried to jump him but he will stop in front of the jump so I have never forced him as I don’t enter shows. My father has been on him and he is a complete beginner only knows a few things and Richard was a perfect boy, I have also had a lovely 12year old child ride him with no issues also. He is one you can leave in the paddock and get on in 1 month later and have no issues. Just has some energy I believe with the right person he would make an excellent show horse. Just needs that person to put some time and love into him. Good with any other sex horse and any age. Easy to catch, teeth, farrier. Hooves will need trimming in the next 3 weeks (barefoot at the moment, was shoes when we first got him) He has been out of work for few weeks now as I have injured my hip (nothing to do with riding).
