Oldenburg Mare for Sale in Walden, NY

Bella is a 16.2 hand bay 2009 mare who is ready to go to work. She was lightly backed 3 years ago but due to a busy schedule I was not able to keep her in work, or get her back into work as I hoped. My plan was to keep her as my private horse and get back into competing in the jumper ring, she is a good eventing prospect as well. She is a very athletic and interested jumper, she has done some jumping in a chute. She has not been in a regular work schedule for some time so she does need some work getting back into the swing of things. I have all the paper work needed to register her, I just have not done it. Bella would also make a good brood mare prospect for a sport horse breeder. You can see more information on her sire here: http://www.prattsfarm.com/Stallions.html I would l

About Walden, NY

The area around present-day Walden was purchased in 1736 by Alexander Kidd, and settlers of Scots-Irish, English and German descent started arriving not long afterwards. It was the first settlement west of the Wallkill River, known at the time as Kidd's Town. In the 1820s, a successful New York shipper named Jacob Walden convinced some of his business partners to finance the construction of woolen mills on the river, attracted by the Great Falls as a source of power and the railroad connections at nearby Maybrook. He dammed the Wallkill above the falls, creating a power station that remains in use today, and his mill was a success. Other wool-makers followed as the Industrial Revolution picked up steam and the growing population center became known instead as Walden's Mills.
