Paint Gelding for Sale in Lenox, MA

Exuberant 11 year old Registered Paint Gelding! He loves life and is looking to be leased or find forever home as his owner can no longer afford time to ride. Has spent past 2 years on lease with experienced teen rider who has shown him 4-H in multiple discipline classes. Is very athletic and well put together so can do well with many disciplines but has shown most interest in trail, and trail classes. Prefer to see him in private home over boarding barn. He bonds to his owner and i would like to see him where he is happiest. He is not a beginner horse. Was started a little late and treated like a puppy for most of his young life so he can be head strong without experienced hands. Nothing major just pulling in his own direction. He is exceptional going by atv's and is very level headed about new experiences. Not a spooky horse but not a deadhead. Extremely sweet and great with feet. Feet are incredible, no shoes ever and never a lameness. Great vet references. would love to see him go somewhere that is barefoot trim knowledgeable. Will request a buy back first right of refusal if he is sold so this is not a resale project. This horse is dear to many and price is lowered to be realistic with economy and finding him a super home who will give him very good care. VIDEO LINK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zp076q2-Tq0

About Lenox, MA

The area was inhabited by Mahicans, Algonquian speakers who largely lived along the Hudson and Housatonic Rivers. Hostilities during the French and Indian Wars discouraged settlement by European colonial settlers until 1750, when Jonathan and Sarah Hinsdale from Hartford, Connecticut, established a small inn and general store. The Province of Massachusetts Bay thereupon auctioned large tracts of land for 10 townships in Berkshire County, set off in 1761 from Hampshire County. For 2,250 pounds Josiah Dean purchased Lot Number 8, which included present-day Lenox and Richmond. After conflicting land claims were resolved, however, it went to Samuel Brown, Jr., who had bought the land from the Mahican chief, on condition that he pay 650 pounds extra.
