Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Chilton, WI
Miss Certainty, aka Pocket, is a six year old American Quarter Horse Mare.
Pocket is green broke, and until she is completely trained, she will
need an experienced handler. However, with the right work, she has
the potential to be nice in any direction that you should choose. We
are listing her as green broke because although she was broken several
years ago, she has just laid around for the most part the last year.
Pocket can be head strong at times, but once you are able to get her
to respect you, she listens very well. She has excellent blood lines,
loads, ties, bathes, grooms, leads, is good for the farrier, and is an
easy keeper. Pocket has been mostly ridden western, but she can also
go bareback. She has been ridden on a light snaffle bit and does not
neck rein. However, she has racked up quite a number of trail riding
miles this past summer, and she would make an excellent trail horse for
anyone who is looking for one! Great potential for reining, cutting,
and barrels. She will be in training until sold. We are asking $1, 200,
but we are open to any offers.

                    About Chilton, WI
The first residents of Chilton were African-American former slave Moses Stanton and his Native-American wife, Catherine, who arrived in January 1845. The city formed around his saw mill and a grist mill a few years later. The village was originally called Stantonville. John Marygold bought the place in 1852 and called it "Chilington," referring to Chillington Hall in England. He sent a verbal message to have the name change recorded in Stockbridge, then the county seat.
