Appendix Mare for Sale in Boone, IA
7 Year old Sorrel AQHA Mare has had one foal (Great mom) . She is 15. 3+h
tall (I have never taped her but she is taller then my barrel horse and
he is 15. 3H) she is a heavy mare. She has been started on both barrels
and roping. Many miles of trail riding, loads, clips, ties, bridle and
saddles easily. Extreamly easy to catch!! She needs a job I purchased
her to breed to my old stallion and now she has no job. She is really
easy to get along with and would make an excelent 4- H horse. Pictures

About Boone, IA
Coal mining played an important part in the early history of the Boone area. Local blacksmiths were already mining coal from the banks of Honey Creek south of what became Boone in 1849. Boone was platted as a town in 1865 by John Insley Blair. It was incorporated the following year, when the Chicago and North Western Transportation Company railroad station was built there. The town was originally named "Montana"; it was renamed to Boone in 1871.
