Thoroughbred Stallion for Sale in Coalinga, CA

"Darc" is a retired race horse. Kentucky bred, he ran as a 3 YO and won most. Has legend race horses in his pedigree, Nashua, Roundtable, I have a Copy of his papers, not the original. Ran barrels some and was pretty good, but mostly has been my riding horse. Sadly the high cost of hay has forced me to find a good home for him. Price is negotiable for the right home for him. He needs an experienced rider and alot of miles. You cant tire this horse very easy. Kind on the ground, good to tie, clip, shoe, and trailer. He is a little reactive at times, but never bucks or rears, but he can do a 360 or a sideways move that will leave you standing! Has had natural horsemanship training. Uses Snaffle or full bridle. Up to date on all health issues. To approved home only.

About Coalinga, CA

Legendary bandit Joaquin Murrieta was killed in 1853 at his headquarters, Arroyo de Cantua, north of Coalinga. California Historical Landmark #344 marks the approximate site of where he was slain, near the junction of present-day State Route 33 and Route 198. Before 20th-century diesel locomotives, steam locomotives were used, and powered in the San Joaquin Valley by burning coal mined from the northern foothills of Mount Diablo to the north. The Southern Pacific Railroad Company established the site as a coaling station in 1888, and it was called simply Coaling Station A. Local tradition has it that an official of Southern Pacific made the name more sonorous by adding an a to it.
