Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Waterloo, IL

The previous owner ran Bella mostly in Highschool rodeos - barrel racing & pole bending. Not suggested for a beginner; do to quickness & sharp turns. UTD on shots, coggins & teeth recently floated. Loads, shoes, stands quietly while saddled, ties, bathes and clips. Excellent ground manners, neck reins & backs up great. Built like a mac truck and has speed when asked, she can wrap a barrel & snakes through poles! Sound & - footed, No Vices. I was told she would also work nice for halter or a pony jumper, lots of potential in multiple disciplines & eager to please. Super sweet & loves attention. Gets along well with other horses & ok with tractors & dogs & she is an easy keeper. Currently placing in the 2D -3D at local barrel shows & a 21 sec. pole horse with a good rider. Trail rides great & will cross water & logs. Cutting back on horses. Video available for serious inquiries.

About Waterloo, IL

Waterloo's history dates back to the 18th century, with the French being the first Europeans to settle in the area. The site was ideal because of its elevation; the proximity of the Mississippi River Valley brought frequent flooding to the lowlands. It was also close to Fort de Chartres, a French stronghold. They named their settlement Bellefontaine, meaning 'beautiful spring.' This name related to a spring of water a mile south of the site of Waterloo, a frequent campsite on journeys between Kaskaskia, Cahokia, and St. Louis.
