Quarter Horse Mare for Sale in Wittmann, AZ
"Sugar" is a 10 yr old beautiful AQHA mare. I bought her as a small project. Her previous owners had her in a pasture for 3 years and had not ridden her in that time. She had two foals that I saw and they were very correct like her. She is broke and is something to look at. Unfortunately, while in training she bowed a tendon. Her left front. The vet said injuries like this will heal 100%. She has been on stall rest since October and will need another 3 months with some hand walking. Please call for more information. To good home only. . . .
About Wittmann, AZ
The town was first named Nadaburg, which is a combination of two words, the Spanish word "Nada", which means "nothing" and the German word "burg", which means "town". The railroad who built the Southern Transcontinental Railroad line named the site Nadaburg years before the area was formally opened to homesteading as a result of the Department of Interior Act of December 29, 1916. William Hovey Griffin, a native of Texas, founded the town of Nadaburg (Wittmann). He filed his homestead petition in September 1920. That same year he also plotted out the town site.
